Love these earrings by Crafty Chica, so glad she posted this tutorial on her blog. Gonna try my hand at these before next years rounds of shows.

2014 Christmas Craft/Art Show Recap

This year I only did 3 shows, becasue I got this great new job and I didn't want to have to take too much time off.

1.Micanopy Fall Festival
Which went beautifully. I highly recommend applying to this show, this was my third year in this show. Shoppers come prepared to buy for the Christmas season. On Saturday I had my mom and my sister help with running the tent, along with my mother's friend who I allowed to use half my tent to sell her goods. On Sunday, it was me and Angela, along with my mom's friends.
Everything went smoothly except I forgot my banners which my brother dropped off before the show started. A vender a few booths down left her money box unattended (why I never had a money box)while she helped shoppers and all of her money was stolen the Saturday. I think she learned her lesson the very hard way, they took a collection for her later but she estamated she lost over $1,000.

2. O'Connell Carft Festival
This was my fourth year doing the O'Connell Center and I must say, it was my worst. Melissa and I, with my sister helping on Saturday due to high traffic of this show. The first year we did great, we almost sold out. The second year was better than the first. The third year was dismal with little no foot traffic and I almost vowed to not come back but the success of the previous years stopped me. This year was pitiful and I will not go back to the O'Connell Center. There were shoppers at this year's so prehaps I did not sell much becasue my craft is not what I would call a "country craft" with pomp and ribbons and bows etc. Never again.

3. GLAM Craft Show
I love, love, love this show. This was the third year doing this show and I got in the day before thanks to the wonderful kindness of Kim, the director and the hanger having enough space to squeeze me and my bookcase in! Great foot traffic and way better fit for mine and Melissa's crafts and always a good time. They bring in food from Celebrations , they have the fancy porta-pottys, and it's one of the only shows where I always end up buying something awesome from a fellow vender.

No more shows this year.
Maybe Melissa and I will pull it together and get a Valentine's Day show together in 2015, say tuned.

Got In O'Connell Center Craft Show

Woot woot, made it into Craft Festival in Gainesville. Everyone I talked about ti with was wait listed, so I am very happy I am in.
Now I have to find a way to make a fixed bookcase that won't fall over if children lean on it and that I can lift.
